I experienced something new recently....or at least I thought I did. A good friend of mine from college (nicknamed Nemesis) had stopped returning my calls. Eventually I figured I would just "take the hint" and chalk my buddy up to the "lost friend" category. I can't remember an instance where I had lost touch with a friend while still trying to be in active contact with that person.
Well just when I figured I'd never hear from him again I got a call from good old "Nemesis". Huzzzah! It was good to hear from that guy. So all this time I thought I was some sorta jerk-face and had alienated the guy or something.
well for the third time in my life my car has been broken into and all my CD's there-in: stolen. Clearly I am doing something wrong.
A lot of the inside of the car got damaged (whoever it was _really_ didnt like the look of my cup-holder), The stereo is still there though which is pretty amazing.
The worst part is how it smells. The theif must have smoked 8 packs of cigarettes while he was in there. At least I know he'll be dying of painfull lung cancer someday.
The loss of property doesn't really bother me (allthough I had one disk of the excellent Police boxed set in there...incomplete boxed sets really bug), they're just things really...no big deal. I am more annoyed by the hassle of it all....and the smell.
Plus no one like the feeling of being "violated" (I use that term loosly). Not only that but you don't exactly feel empowered either. It's not like I can call the police and suppose they will take care of it. Ah well...at least I have insurance.
